I live in Liberty, Texas, a small semi-rural town right outside of Houston.  I know it’s a cliche, but I’m a hopeless romantic—a dreamer of exotic adventures in the desert with Rudolph Valentino; that is, when my dreams don’t find me hiding out with mobsters, a gangter’s moll.

My passions are reading, writing, films—from film noir, colorful musicals (Gene Kelly’s my man!), silents (Valentino and Swanson top THAT list), and just plain good ol’ black & whites.  I’m writing a novel which combines my biggest interests—Hollywood and the Mob.  I enjoy writing poetry.

I can’t imagine life without music—and love a huge range, from classical, big band era, 50’s-60’s-70’s rock, and rag-time—and, yes, even opera.

I teach 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School and learn many of my life lessons from these precious children.

Life is good.

The image of the seagull brought me to your blog. I was looking for a pure image of johny livingstone, i was thinking a moment ago how much i’d love to go back to those years of idealism, how i wish, at 54, i could fly high over my daily life.

    cheers, mm
